Welcome Jacqueline Burkholder!

A recent graduate from Westminster Choir College, Jacqueline Burkholder is a mezzo-soprano soloist and bass chorister who lives in Riverton, NJ. She teaches piano and voice at Cornerstone Music Studios in Millstone NJ and is a staff chorister at Trinity Church, Princeton. Jacqueline is thrilled to be expanding her involvement at Trinity Church, Princeton to include the role of Administrative Assistant for Music. She looks forward to taking her place in the staff who support the music program and the enrichment it brings to the community here. Jacqueline is the parent of an eleven year old girl and enjoys making and listening to music with her daughter, cooking meals for the people she loves, and reading books aloud with her partner.

The choir from Brick Presbyterian Church will be hosted by the choirs from Trinity Church for Evensong on Sunday, February 15th. The choir will host a dinner prior to the service and is in need of approximately 6 volunteers to help with cleanup following the dinner.

Please join us for Evensong this Sunday as we welcome the choir of Brick Presbyterian Church (NYC) to join Trinity’s adult choir for a combined choirs service! We look forward to offering some large-scale choral works with our combined voices as a fitting way to conclude our celebration of the season of Epiphany. American composer Jessica French sets the story of Christ’s transfiguration in glittering vividness with dramatic sweeps and bold harmonic shifts.

Charles Wood’s beloved classic “Hail, gladdening light” presents a double choir setting of a text about the brilliance of Christ’s light with both grand statements and moments of gentleness. Join us for an evening of great choral music!

Choir Hosts Needed!

On Saturday, March 21, Trinity will host the choir of The College of William & Mary for a concert at 7:00 p.m.  We are excited to host the choir, and we are looking for host families to house two or more students overnight from 8:30 p.m. on March 21 through 8:30 a.m. on March 22.

Adult Formation Corner

Dear friends,

Lent is upon us, and it’s time to take advantage of the many formation opportunities that Trinity has on tap for the season. One opportunity I want to put before you is out Lent retreat at Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY, from March 17-20. This will be a time of quiet, prayer, worship, and discussion as we prepare for Holy Week and Easter. If you’re interested in coing along, email me at sladek@trinityprinceton.org by March 3. We only have 12 rooms reserved, so jump on this opportunity now!

On Sunday mornings during Lent, we will explore the Catechism and delve deeper into what we believe as Episcopalians. This will be the focus of our Wednesday evening Lent program as well. Starting on Wednesday, March 25, join us for Eucharist at 5:30, dinner at 6 PM, and a discussion of Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs and Practices by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Travel to the Holy Land

A couple of years back, some members of Trinity Church traveled with our Rector, Paul Jeanes, and The Rev. Keith Marsh and to the Holy Land.

It proved to be a marvelous and spiritually uplifting experience for all who made the pilgrimage! After retiring in June of 2023, Keith started Spirited Pilgrimages, a business devoted to planning, promoting and hosting unique, small-group pilgrimages around the world for people of faith.

Two pilgrimages have been planned for the fall of next year and you are invited to join: 

• The Footsteps of Paul – September 9-19, 2026 – travel through Turkey and Greece by land and sea - visit sites from the Book of Acts associated with St. Paul on his missionary journeys: Ephesus, Patmos, Corinth, Athens and more, including the islands of Crete and Santorini  

• Celtic Christianity – October 12-24, 2026 – follow the path of Christianity’s early years in the Celtic kingdoms, beginning in Ireland and expanding into Scotland and northern England – trace the spread of Celtic Christianity from its introduction by St. Patrick to its demise at the Council of Whitby.

These pilgrimages will be led by Keith, an experienced pilgrimage planner and host.
