PLEDGE 2026

We are into week three of Stewardship for 2026. As of 11/13, we have 76 pledges given for a total of $268,748.50.

This year, our focus is on participation. We invite you to share the gifts of your presence, your talent, and, yes, your treasure. Trinity is a vibrant, caring community, thanks to each of you. Our goal is to reach $1.2 million in pledges, with close to 50 percent of active households participating. 

We invite you to prayerfully reflect on your giving for the year ahead—whether by increasing your current pledge or by making a pledge for the first time. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference in supporting our worship, outreach, staffing, maintenance, and the programs that nurture our faith and deepen our shared impact. With faith and commitment, we can achieve this. Please join us and offer your support.

A Message From Our Communications Director

Emilio E. Feijóo

We will be launching a public directory for the parish in 2026. We want to make sure that all families and parishioners have a means to contact families to support in prayer.

In addition, we will introduce a new digital system that will allow you to “tap” your device and access the bulletin, website, and much more e.g. iPad.

We’ve all forgotten someone’s name and we hope that the directory will help bring us closer together. Also, we want to save on paper (and ink) and help support more fully those with visual impairments. With a tablet one will be able to see the text and music in its splendor.

We hope that with these two improvements in the coming months we will enhance our communal bonds and bring the parish closer in service .

Mittens, coats, and hats ended their summer slumber this week in my house. The shift in weather serves as a reminder that the season of Advent is on the horizon. It is time to talk about the Christmas pageant! Please fill out this interest form and reach out if you have any questions. Oregon Trailblazers decided not to meet this weekend, but I hope everyone will consider joining us for Fun Friday at the Farminary next week (11/21). Food and friends around a campfire in the fall is prime memory-making.

Arm and Arm Urgent request for Food Pantry Volunteers

In response to the government shutdown, Arm in Arm, a core Trinity outreach partner, is activating an emergency plan to serve 250 additional families weekly by extending pantry hours at two sites.  Volunteers are urgently needed to help staff these additional shifts at the food pantries listed below. Adult Formation Corner

Dear friends,

I will be away this Sunday with 10 members of our parish at the Community of St. John the Baptist in Mendham, NJ. We will be on a brief 2-night retreat, preparing for Advent in prayer and the reading of Scripture. I often feel strange planning a retreat - tempted to pack in as many events as possible. But that goes against the entire idea of a retreat. It isn’t productive time per se, and it isn’t measured by how much we “get done.” In the words of British theologian Marva Dawn, so much of what we do as a Church looks like “a royal waste of time” to a secular culture that prizes productivity above all else. To spend time in worship, to spend time in contemplation, to read, or to sleep: all of these are activities that are good for their own sake. If you’re interested in joining Trinity for a future retreat, please let me know. In the Spring we will be going to Holy Cross Monastery in West Park, NY.

2025 Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot is upon us. In less than four weeks, our circle will be over-run by all manner of turkey. It is a morning of fun, excitement, community, and support. 

It is an opportunity to burn off some of those calories in advance of the feast to come.  Our permit allows for 2500 participants. 

As of today, more than 1500 registrations have been received.  We have sold out in each of the last several years and almost surely will do so again in 2025.  If you are interested in running, I encourage to register soon.  Our website https://www.trinityturkeytrot.org. 

We also have volunteer opportunities if you want to participate but don’t really want to run.  Reach out to Jennifer Hayden is you would like to volunteer.

CHOIR TO LONDON

In August 2026, our choir will be on tour in the UK, first at Ely Cathedral and then at Westminster Abbey.

Trinity is putting together a trip for any parishioners who would like to support the choir while they are in London - and see the sights in London and beyond.

Whether you are a chorister parent, a spouse or friend of an adult choir member, or a Trinity parishioner who enjoys music, liturgy, and history, this trip is for you!

The tour will include day trips to Canterbury Cathedral and to Oxford, as well as activities in London itself. We will attend daily Evensong at Westminster Abbey, as well as the Sunday Eucharist at which Trinity's choir will sing.

Travel to the Holy Land

A couple of years back, some members of Trinity Church traveled with our Rector, Paul Jeanes, and The Rev. Keith Marsh and to the Holy Land.

It proved to be a marvelous and spiritually uplifting experience for all who made the pilgrimage! After retiring in June of 2023, Keith started Spirited Pilgrimages, a business devoted to planning, promoting and hosting unique, small-group pilgrimages around the world for people of faith.

Two pilgrimages have been planned for the fall of next year and you are invited to join: 

• The Footsteps of Paul – September 9-19, 2026 – travel through Turkey and Greece by land and sea - visit sites from the Book of Acts associated with St. Paul on his missionary journeys: Ephesus, Patmos, Corinth, Athens and more, including the islands of Crete and Santorini  

• Celtic Christianity – October 12-24, 2026 – follow the path of Christianity’s early years in the Celtic kingdoms, beginning in Ireland and expanding into Scotland and northern England – trace the spread of Celtic Christianity from its introduction by St. Patrick to its demise at the Council of Whitby.

These pilgrimages will be led by Keith, an experienced pilgrimage planner and host.
