This Sunday, October 1st at 1pm, we will hold our annual blessing of the animals on the Stockton lawn. Bring your furry friends, your bouncing beloveds, and your flapping fliers. Bonus blessing for any quokkas. We look forward to seeing you there.

Additionally, there will be a blessing of the stuffed animals this Sunday during the 10:30am service, so bring your fuzzy, inanimate friends with you!

Church School meets on Sundays at 9:30–10:20am and is geared toward children ages 3-10, from PreK–5th grade. Emily Pruszinski teaches Church School with help from our clergy, interns, parents, and teen volunteers. 

Youth Group meets on Sundays from 6-7:15pm and is geared toward pre-teens and teens ages 11-18, from 6th–12th grade. Our wonderful Lay Pastoral Associate, Wesley Rowell, will co-lead Youth Group this year with Emily Pruszinski. 

Parents and Caregivers — If you are interested in volunteering to help run classes, bring snacks, wrangle sheep at the Christmas Pageant, we welcome your help! There are options listed below for both weekly and seasonal events. Carey Wallace the author of Stories of the Saints, illustrated by Nick Thornborrow.  She will be coming to talk to us about some of the saints in her book, and about being an author. We will have copies of her book on site for purchase (put what you can in the basket). We’ll have some snacks as well. This is a forum for all ages, so caregivers, bring your kids, and tell you friends to come on out! You do not want to miss this! 

There will be Sunday school on October 15. 

On October 17, at 1pm, our very own Margaret Harper has an organ recital at Trinity Wall Street in St. Paul’s Chapel as part of their series Pipes at One.

Meg has been hailed by the Diapason magazine for her “elegant performance” and by the Boston Musical Intelligencer for “outstandingly lively, punchy” playing. In response to one of her international performances, Croatian newspaper Glas Slavonije wrote, “The freezing cold of a January evening dominated the cathedral in Djakovo, but it could not diminish the richness and warmth of sound brought out of the cathedral organ by Margaret Harper.” This will be a recital you do not want to miss.

Grief is one of life’s most profound experiences. Many of us are simply not prepared for the level of sadness, isolation and vulnerability that often result after losing someone whom we love deeply. This October, Trinity Episcopal Church will partner with Nassau Presbyterian Church at its Fall Session of GriefEncounters.

This support group is open to all Trinity parishioners and friends who have sustained the recent or not so recent loss of a loved one. The meetings will be held Tuesday, 7-8:30pm, in the conference room at Nassau Presbyterian Church on October 17 & 24; November 7, 14 & 28; and December 5. There will be no meeting on Tuesday, October 31 (Halloween) or on Tuesday, November 21 (Thanksgiving week).

Each meeting will incorporate confidential sharing and guided conversation, with supportive scripture and prayer. If you are interested in finding out more information about the group, please email Deacon Hank Bristol at hbristoldcn@gmail.com.

Calling all who love to sing! Trinity Choirs are kicking back off after Labor Day, and we would love to have you join us.  We have opportunities for singers of all ages, and we’re excited to welcome you to join us. If you’re interested, please reach out to Director of Music Meg Harper at harperm@trinityprinceton.org.  

Noël McCormick, soprano, graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Westminster Choir College in 2018. While at Westminster, she was a member of the Westminster Choir, Symphonic Choir, Kantorei, Schola Cantorum, Chapel Choir, Westminster Concert Bell Choir, and appeared on two commercial recordings, Lumina, and Martin: Mass for Double Choir. She is currently in her fourth year teaching 3rd-5th grade general music and choir at Round Valley Elementary School in Clinton Township, NJ. Noël also sings as a soprano at Episcopal Church Princeton and with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir. Outside of music, Noël is an avid lover of aviation and exploring art museums. She lives in Princeton with her husband Mike and mischievous orange cat, Penelope.
