Newcomers
Welcome to Trinity Church! We are so glad you found this website. Please explore and get to know our community. If you'd like to get more involved at Trinity, here are some ideas about how you can do that!
Fill out a Newcomer’s Card.
If you fill out the Newcomer’s pew card or the form inserted into the paper Welcome Packet, you will be placed on our mailing list and will receive all the latest news at Trinity Episcopal Church. News about the goings on at Trinity are conveyed through an online newsletter called the E-pistle. Be sure to give us our email address, so you can receive this helpful source of news.
Introduce Yourself to those Around You.
In a church the size of Trinity, it can be difficult to know who is new and who is someone you just haven’t met yet! If you get a chance on Sunday morning during the Peace or after church, introduce yourself to those in your pew.
Introduce Yourself to a Clergy Person.
The clergy at Trinity would live to get to know you. Please introduce yourself, either at the door on Sunday morning or by making an appointment with us in our offices during the week. We would love to help you get integrated into life here at Trinity. The Rev. Sarah Kinney Gaventa is our Assistant Rector and part of her job is to help newcomers navigate their way around Trinity. She welcomes your call at 609-924-2277 x. 122.
Come to a Newcomers' Dinner.
Newcomers' dinners, held several time a year, are a great opportunity to get to know other parishioners – “old timer” and newcomer alike. Invitations will be sent to newcomers for whom we have addresses, but all newcomers are welcome, so be sure to check the E-pistle and the current Sunday bulletin for announcements related to these dinners.
Jump Right In!
The best way to get to know people at Trinity is to participate in one of our many ministries. When you feel called to arrange flowers, lead Children’s Chapel, sing in the choir, go to a bible study, or help with an outreach event, participating in ministries is the fastest way to make friends at Trinity.
