Frequently Asked Questions

Who is welcome at Trinity Church?

If you are hungering for God or community, you are welcome at Trinity Church.  Whatever your gender, race, sexual orientation or religious background, we want to get to know you!

What are Trinity’s services like?

All of Trinity’s services are from the Episcopal tradition.  Sunday morning services are all Eucharist services, which means that we share the Body and Blood of Christ together.  The 8:00 service is a Rite I (formal language) spoken service with only one hymn.  The 9:00 service is our family service.  It is the Rite II (more informal language) service with choir.  Children are invited to join us for Children’s Chapel during this service.  Children also do the dismissal at the 9:00 service.  The 11:00 service is a Rite II choral Eucharist.  This means that many parts of the service that are spoken at the 8:00 and 9:00 service are sung during this service.  Trinity also offers mid-week Eucharist services, and monthly Evensong and Compline services.

How do people usually dress for services at Trinity Church?

At Trinity church, our members wear a wide variety of clothing—from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts.  Know you will be welcomed no matter what clothes you wear!

Where can I park?

There is a parking lot available for Trinity Episcopal Church use next to the church on Mercer Street.  If that lot is full, on Sunday mornings you can use the Princeton Theological Seminary Library Parking Lot accessibly off of Library Place. The other options are the Borough Hall parking lot across Stockton Street and on-street parking in the neighborhood.

Is there childcare available?

All children are welcome to worship with us inside the Sanctuary and a soft space and activity bags are available for toddlers and young children in the back of the church.  However, if your child would be more comfortable in the nursery, the nursery can be located on the second floor of the church building, room 202.  The nursery is staffed Sunday mornings from 8:45 until 12:30. (9:45-11:30 during the summer.) Children’s Chapel is also offered during the 9:00 a.m. service.

Do you have more questions about Trinity?  Please call The Rev. Sarah Kinney Gaventa at 609-924-2277 x. 122.  She'd love to talk with you.
