Baptisms
Baptism is one of the great sacraments of the Christian faith. "Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ's Body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God." (Book of Common Prayer). As baptism marks our membership into the Body of Christ, it is a sacrament celebrated when the other members are present, usually on Sunday mornings.
At Trinity, infant and adult baptisms are held on the traditional days for baptism in the liturgical calendar (Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, Easter Vigil, The Day of Pentecost, All Saints' Sunday) as well as a few other Sundays. An instruction class is held the Saturday before the Sunday baptisms at 10:00 AM for candidates and parents to attend.
If you would like to schedule a baptism for yourself or your child, it is important to plan ahead as baptisms are often scheduled months in advance due to the large numbers of families with young children who are part of our parish.
