Announcing the Rector Search Committee

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

What a season of faith and expectation we are living into together.

As our parish family discerns a new season of faith and expectation, we are filled with gratitude and hope — grateful for each of you who has shown up, prayed faithfully, and trusted that God is at work even in times of transition. And we are hopeful, because we believe with our whole hearts that the Spirit who has guided this community through every chapter of its story is guiding us still.

Today, we have the joy of announcing the members who have been called to serve on our Rector Search Committee — a team of dedicated, prayerful, and Spirit-led individuals who will carry our collective hopes, stories, and prayers into the search for our next rector.

As we prayerfully selected the following individuals, we made the decision to approach this work in two stages, and with two committees. There will be a few individuals who will serve on both committees, both chaired by Thalia Mingo.

There will be the process of developing the Parish Profile, and once the profile is completed, we will then transition into the search processes of sharing the Parish Profile, reviewing and interviewing candidates, and finally candidate recommendation to the Vestry.

Please join us in celebrating and lifting up these beloved members of our Trinity family:

Each of these individuals said "yes" to a significant calling — not just to a task, but to a ministry. They will listen deeply to our parish family, seek wisdom in prayer, and discern carefully as they work to identify the shepherd God is preparing to lead us into the next chapter of our shared mission.

We also extend gratitude and thank you to Lynne Davis, 2007 Search Committee Chair, who has graciously said yes to acting as an advisor to the committee.

This is holy work. And it is work that belongs to all of us.

We invite every member of this parish to support the Search Committee through prayer, encouragement, and active participation as opportunities arise. Your voice, your story, and your vision for this community matter deeply to this process. No one is a bystander in this sacred season — we are all part of discerning where God is calling us.

To our Search Committee members: you are not walking this road alone. You go with the prayers of this entire congregation at your back, the wisdom of those who have come before us, and the sure and steady guidance of the Holy Spirit before you. We are honored by your willingness to serve, and we trust the faithfulness you will bring to this important work.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

May that promise anchor us all as we move forward — together, in faith, and with open hearts.

With gratitude and in Christ's love,

David Schneider
