for the FOURTH SUNDAY in EASTER
WRITTEN by TRINITY YOUTH

Father, we pray for your holy, catholic, and apostolic church that we may all be one. We pray for all bishops, priests, and deacons that they may be faithful ministers of your word. We pray for the Holy Church of God that it may be filled with truth and love and that it may triumph in these trying times. We pray for the peace and unity of the Church of God.
Gracious Lord hear our prayer.

For the president and the leaders of every nation, for all governors and mayors, may we have responsible and effective leadership. For the Center for Disease Control, for all doctors and nurses, and for all essential workers. For the people of the United States, of every nation, that we may get through these challenges without losing hope and that we may help the vulnerable in our midst.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.
Virankha Peter
We pray for our beautiful planet, who now gets a chance to breathe without all the pollutants we send into her air and water. We pray that we can take care of her now and always. And while we’re here, we pray for unity that we may look beyond boundaries of race, sexual orientation, gender, class, and age to help one another and uplift each other. We pray for the end of this troubling time and for light to break through the shroud enveloping all of us.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.
Matthew Benjamin
We pray for teachers and students, especially high school and college seniors. We pray for doctors and caretakers, for the homeless, and the ill, for those put out of work, those who are separated from their families and friends.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for those who are suffering, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are unemployed, and for anyone in a challenging situation during this unexpected time. The Lord is near to all who call on Him. May they be relieved and protected we pray to you, O Lord.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.
Vivekka Peter
We pray for the souls of the people in our nation and in the world who are suffering and have lost their lives due to the coronavirus. We pray to bless the life-story of everyone who has been lost to the virus, so that they don’t just stay in our memory as a statistic. We pray for the souls who have been lost due to illnesses, violence, and other human-related and unhuman-related causes. We pray especially for Floyd White and all those in your heart.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.

Almighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks during this time of turmoil for the opportunity to take a breath and to take a step back from the chaos of ordinary life. We give thanks for the ability to continue worshipping as one, close, united church despite the physical distances between us. We give thanks that our planet has had time to breathe, to see less pollution, and to show what the planet can look like if humans are more conscious of our impact on the environment. And finally, we give thanks for the opportunity to emerge from this pandemic as one unified body, to quell divisions between age, politics, class, and race, and to continue work in your name.
Gracious Lord, hear our prayer.
